Eggs & Bacon 8 – Decepticons 2:
 
In a game where the score look to be a low-scoring and a competitive one, E & B broke the flood gates in the second and third period as they outscored the Decepticons 7 – 1.  Nicholas Ste-Croix scored a hat-trick in the win.  Four different players each had 2 points in the game for the breakfast team.  For the Decepticons, Mathieu Richer scored both goals for his team.  Steve Durand made 35 saves in the loss and Sub Goalie made 9 saves.

Tomahawks 7 – Decepticons 4:
 
The Tomahawks defeated the Decepticons in their final meeting.  It was a pretty even game and the Tomahawks led throughout the second and third period.  Charles Williams cut the lead down to 5 – 4, but Thierry Leger-Parizeault added the insurance marker to preserve the win.  He finished the night with 3 goals.  Mathieu Richer also scored 3 goals in a losing cause for the Decepticons.  David Mucciardi made 30 saves in the win and Steve Durand made 36 saves in the loss.

Decepticons 6 – Wolfpack 2:
 
The Decepticons defeated the Wolfpack in a very tight game.   With the loss, the Wolfpack gain a setback in the playoff hopes as they had a chance to move into 8thplace.  Mathieu Richer had a huge night for the Decepticons.  He scored four goals including the game winner in the second period.  Jean-Francois Auger picked up 3 assists in the win.  Charles Williams scored a goal and added an assist.  Mattew Kates and Ethan Feigenbaum each scored a goal for the Wolfpack.  Steve Durand made 32 saves in the win and Sub Goalie made 28 saves in the loss.

Tomahawks 6 – Decepticons 5:
 
The Tomahawks came out with a narrow victory over the Decepticons.  The Decepticons were an inch away from tying the game, but they hit the post with about six seconds left in the game.  The Tomahawks got balanced and timely scoring from their forwards.  Thierry Leger-Parizeault chipped in with 2 goals.  Gabor Dupere-Richer, Christina Mandelos, Pierre-Marc Drouin and Leandre Calmette-Ratelle each a goal each.  Shawn Wheatley and Mathieu Richer for the Decepticons both had 2 goals each.   Charles Williams chipped in with 2 assists.  Steve Durand made 39 saves and David Mucciardi made 28 saves.

 Bengals 8 – Decepticons 3:
 
The Bengals got out of their two game losing streak with a powering win over the Decepticons.  The Decepticons had a 2 – 1 lead going into second period, and the Bengals scored 3 goals in that frame.  They added to their 4 – 2 lead in the third period by scoring another 4 goals before Sherry Page added one late at the end of the game.  Rick Modi had a big night with 3 goals and 3 assists.  Kevan Modi and Sumit Modi each 3 points.  Mathieu Richer and Mathieu Pauze each had 2 points in the loss.  Sagar Modi made 24 saves in the win and Steve Durand made 42 saves.

 Decepticons 7 – Kings 6 (SO):
 
The Kings lost to the Decepticons in a shootout despite coming back from a 2 goal deficit.  The Kings held the lead in the first and second period until the Decepticons scored 3 straight to take 6 – 4 lead with over six minutes left to play in the game.  Tomas Bailey and Sub Girl scored late in the period to tie things up at 6.  Sherry Page and Mathieu Richer scored for the Decepticons in the shootout and Brittany Diabo was the only one to beat Steve Durand.  Sherry Page had a big night with 3 goals and Charles Williams had 3 assists.  Tomas Bailey scored 3 goals and had 1 assist in the loss.  Rishi Kumar made 33 saves and Steve Durand made 40 saves.

 Eggs & Bacon 9 – Decepticons 3:
 
In a rematch from last week’s tilt, E & B won back to back games against the Decepticons.  It was close game until the second period as the score was tied at 2.  Then E & B exploded for 5 straight goals in the period.  Joey Krygier had 2 goals & 1 assist in the frame.  Nick Ste Croix then scored on the powerplay halfway through the third period to make it 8 – 2.  The breakfast team go on to win by a score of 9 – 3.  Joey Krygier had a big night 3 goals & 1 assists.  Elliot Chinerman and Nick Ste-Croix each had 4 points in the win.  Sherry Page was the lone bright spot for the Decepticons.  She scored 1 goal and had 2 assists and was in on all of the goals.  Darren Egett made 13 saves in the win and Steve Durand made 49 saves in the loss.

 Eggs & Bacon 5 – Decepticons 4:
 
The breakfast team and the Decepticons played in a game that had a nail-biting finish.  It was scoreless going into the second period and Alicia Hughes and Nick Ste-Croix both scored to make 2 – 0.  Mathieu Richer scored a minute later to get the Decepticons on the board and Charles Williams scored on the powerplay to tie the game at 2.  Elliot Chinerman restored the one-goal lead on a shot that beat Steve Durand.  In the third period, Sherry Page tied the game three minutes into the period.  Francois Fafard and Mathieu Richer exchanged goals to make the scored tied at 4.  Ian Foster scored off a rebound with over a minute left to play in the game and it stood as the game winner.  Steve Durand made 44 saves in the loss and Darren Egett made 17 saves in the win.  Charles Williams, Mathieu Richer & Jean-Francois Auger each had 2 points.  Ian Foster and Francois Fafard had 3 points each in the win.

Decepticons 5 – Dragons 2:
 
The Dragons put up a good fight against the Decepticons in their loss on Saturday afternoon.  Jessica Ethier opened the scoring late in the first period.  Mathieu Pauze tied the game up less than a minute later.  The Decepticons took control off the game in the second period.  They outshot the Dragons 17 – 11 and outscored them 2 – 1.  In the third period, Mathieu Richer and Charles Williams both scored to make it 5 – 2 and close the game out with a victory.  Mathieu Richer and Dianah Johnson each had 3 points in the win and Craig MacDonald had 2 assists in the loss.  Steve Durand was solid in between the pipes by making 49 saves.  Max Dragon made 38 saves in the loss.

CoEd Week 19 Le Rinque's Bar Player of the Week

  Congrats to Steve Durand from the Decepticons. He was stellar in nets as he helped his team defeat the Dragons. He made 49 saves on 51 shots in the victory. He gets $20 to spend at Le Rinque's Bar.

Tomahawks 9 – Decepticons 0:
 
The Tomahawks continued their winning ways with a big win over the Decepticons.  The Tomahawks opened the scoring very early in the game.  Pierre-Marc Drouin and Gabor Dupere-Richer both scored in the first three minutes of the first period.  The Tomahawks dominated the Decepticons in the first period.  They outshot them 18 – 7.  The second period was very similar to the first one, but the Tomahawks scored 5 goals in the second frame.   Gabor Dupere Richer scored 2 more goals to reach his hat-trick.  The game ended with a score of 9 – 0.  Gabor Dupere Richer & Guillaume Proulx-Cabana both scored 3 goals.  Sal Pistone and Thierry Leger-Parizeault each had 3 points in the win.  Steve Durand made 40 saves in the loss and David Mucciardi made 22 saves for the shutout.

Decepticons 11 – Wolfpack 1:
 
The Decepticons have now put together a couple straight wins with convincing victory over the Wolfpack.  Mathieu Richer had a great night.  He scored a hat-trick and had 4 assists in the win.  Charles Williams added to his goal scoring column.  He netted 4 in the victory.  Both Dianah Johnson and Sherry Page finished with 4 points.  Jeremy Sholzberg scored the lone goal for the Wolfpack.  Steve Durand made 29 saves for the win and Sub Goalie made 31 saves in the loss.

Hot Shots 6 – Decepticons 5:
 
The Hot Shots pulled a come from behind victory against the Decepticons.  It was close and tight checking game.  Steve Durand from the Decepticons was solid in this and gave his team a chance to win.  With the score being 5 – 3 going into the third period, the Hot Shots lead by Daniel Somher, scored two straight goals to tie the game.  Gaetan Lanthier then scored with under 5 minutes left to give them a one goal lead.  Manpreet Kooner struggled in the first periods in goal but then shutout the Decepticons in the crucial third period.  She finished with 14 saves.  Steve Durand made 41 saves in the loss.  Mathieu Richer had 4 goals in the loss and Mike Nols had 5 points in the win.

Eggs & Bacon 6 – Decepticons 0:
 
The Eggs & Bacon shut out the Decepticons in a position night match-up.  E & B flew out of the gates 2 early quick goals in the first period.  The Decepticons weren’t able to weather the first period outburst from the Eggs.  Eggs went into the second period with a 3 – 0 lead, John Wong and Elyse Macfadden-Murphy both scored to make it 5 – 0.  Nick scored his third goal in the third period make it 6 – 0.  Nick Ste-Croix and Elliot Chinerman each had 3 points in the win.  Steve Durand made 38 saves in the loss and Darren Egett made 16 saves for the shutout.

Bengals 6 – Decepticons 2:
 
The Bengals and Decepticons played a very close game.  The game was 1 – 0 almost half the game until the Bengals exploded another 5 goals.  The Decepticons scored 2 goals in the 3 period to make it 6 – 2.  Sumit Modi had the biggest night for the Bengals.  He had 2 goals and 2 assists in the win.  Ina Garabedian had 3 points for the Bengals as well.  Mathieu Richer had a 1 goal and 1 assist in the loss for the Decepticons.  Steve Durand made 38 saves in the loss and Sagar Modi made 32 saves in the win.

Decepticons 7 – Outsiders 3:
 
The Outsiders started this game by playing all the right cards.  They scored two goals in the first period and were up 3 – 1 in the second period until the Decepticons offence started to pick up.  They scored 6 straight goals to capture the victory.  Jean-Francois Auger, Mathieu Richer & Sherry Page each had 3 points in the win.  Meanwhile for the Outsiders, Marc Fortin-Salhani and Matt Sherrett each had 1 goal and 1 assist in the loss.  The Outsiders netminder, Philippe Larocque made 36 saves and Steve Durand made 29 saves in the win.

CSD 9 – Decepticons 3:
 
CSD controlled this game entirely.  They outshot the Decepticons 48 – 20 in this one.  Mathieu Richer opened the scoring early in the first period.  CSD’s offence was put into second as their scored 6 unanswered goals.  They went on to win by a score of 10 – 3.  Andrew E had a hat-trick for CSD and Nichelle Hocaloski had 2 goals & 4 assists in the win.  Vince Blanco & Katrina Giuliani each had 5 points as well.  Jean-Francois Auger had 2 goals in the loss and Sherry Page added 2 assists.  Steve Durand made 38 saves and Gorgio Porcari made 17 saves.

Decepticons 13 – Kings 5:
 
The Decepticons got better as the game went on.  The Decepticons had a 6 – 4 lead going into the third period.  They mounted the pressure even more by outscoring the Kings 7 – 1.  Charles Williams and Mathieu Richer each had a 7-point night.  Conrad Stewart had a 3 goals and 1 assist in the win.  Tomas Bailey and Anthony Limongi each had 2 points in the loss.  Rishi Kumar made 35 saves in the loss and Steve Durand made 33 saves for the win.

Tomahawks 6 – Decepticons 4:
 
It was a close match throughout the whole game.  The Decepticons’ Sherry Page opened the scoring with a shot that beat Sal Pistone.  Leandre Calmette-Ratelle tied up the game shortly after that.  The score was tied at 1 going into the second period.  In the second period, the Tomahawks outscored the Decepticons 2 – 1.  Thierry Leger-Parizeault scored the first of his three goals on the night.  The Decepticons tied up the game early in the third period.  Mathieu Richer scored off a powerplay goal.  But the Tomahawks came right back and scored three straight goals to take a commanding 6 – 3 lead.  Shawn Wheatley from the Decepticons cut the lead to 2 with 34 seconds left in the game, but it was a little too late.  Sal Pistone made 17 saves in the win and Steve Durand made 34 saves in the loss.

Hot Shots 11 – Decepticons 1:

 

The Hot Shots offence was in full gear against the Decepticons.  Mike Nols opened the scoring 19 seconds into the game, but the Decepticons tied up very quickly after that as Conrad Stewart beat Mathieu Forget.  The Hot Shots offence was put into to second gear as they scored another 5 goals in the first period to go up 6 – 1.  Gaetan Lanthier scored two of the six goals in the first frame.   The Hot Shots outshot the Decepticons 21 – 6.  In the second period, the Decepticons outshot the Hot Shots but couldn’t manage to beat the Hot Shots netminder.  He made 16 saves in the second period.  While the Hot Shots scored 4 goals on 11 shots.  Mike Nols & Gaetan Lanthier both scored their third goal of the game.  In the third period with the score 10 – 1, Mike Nols ended the game with 6 minutes left to play.  Steve Durand made 27 saves in the loss and Mathieu Forget made 28 saves for the win.   Mike Nols had 8 points, Jasbir Kooner had 6 points & Manpreet Kooner had 5 points in the win.

CSD 7 – Decepticons 2:
 
It was all CSD in this game.  They controlled the ball very well against the Decepticons.  Marco Massotti opened the scoring by beating Steve Durand.  Conrad Stewart tied the game with over two minutes left in the first period.  Marco Massotti scored right at the end of the period to regain the lead.  With the score being 3 – 2 going into the third period, CSD started to take over the game.  Decepticons’ goaltender did a good job of keeping his team in the game, but the CSD offence was too strong on the night.  Tony Bergomi, Stellar Kang and Nichelle Hocaloski all scored in the third period.  CSD outshot the Decepticons 53 – 21.  Steve Durand made 46 saves and Gorgio Porcari made 19 saves.  Marco Massotti had 2 goals and 3 assists and Tony Bergomi had 4 points in the win.  Four different players from the Decepticons each had a point.

Decepticons 8 – Outsiders 2:
 
The Decepticons are on quite a roll as of right now.   There was only goal that was scored in the first period.  Ryan Kennedy beat Philippe Larocque to open the scoring.  Both teams exchanged some good chances in the first but the goalies were solid.  In the second period, the Decepticons’ offence broke out.  They scored early in the second and repeatedly.  Mathieu Richer scored two quick goals to make it 3 – 0.   He later added his third one of the night to get the hat-trick.  Dianah Johnson scored her second goal of the season as she has been a major improvement on the back end.   Going into the 3rdperiod with the score being 6 – 0 and the shots being 47 – 23 for the Decepticons, Phil Tremblay got the Outsiders on the board in the second.  But the Decepticons were solid in this game and it started with their goalie, Steve Durand making the key saves at key moments.  He made 28 saves for the win and Philippe Larocque made 53 saves in the loss.  Ryan Kennedy and Mathieu Richer both had 3 points in the win.

Decepticons 6 – Eggs & Bacon 3:
 
The Decepticons have now made won 3 games in a row with a big upset over the defending champs, Eggs & Bacon.  E & B started off this game strong with Alicia Hughes opening the scoring one and half minute into the game.  E & B outshot the Decepticons 16 – 9 in the first period but only managed to score 1 goal.  Mathieu Richer and Conrad Stewart both scored towards the end of the first to give the Decepticons a 2 – 1 lead going into the second period.   In the second period, John Wong scored twice off a double-minor penalty from Conrad Stewart.  With over one minute left in the second period, Conrad Stewart scored his second goal of the game to tie things up 3.  The shots were 33 – 16 in favour of Eggs & Bacon going into the third period.  Steve Durand from the Decepticons shut the door in the third period making saves on all 16 shots.  The Decepticons put a lot of pressure on E & B.  Shawn Wheatley, Mathieu Floriot and Conrad Stewart all scored in the third to make it 6 – 3 and give the Decepticons their 3rdstraight win.  Darren Egett made 28 saves in the loss and Steve Durand made 46 saves for the win.  Conrad Stewart had 3 goals and 1 assist.  John Wong had two powerplay goals.

Decepticons 7 – Wolfpack 3:
 
In the opening game of the week, the Decepticons have put together a couple straight wins as they beat the Wolfpack.  Mathieu Richer opened the scoring 9 minutes into the first period on shot that beat Erik Heft top corner.  Conrad Stewart added to the 1 – 0 lead on a goal that was shot from the corner that surprised the Wolfpack netminder.   In the second period, Conrad Stewart scored his second goal of the game.  But the Wolfpack scored two straight goals to cut the lead down to one.  Adam Rudick and Lucas Hotten both scored for the Wolfpack.   Conrad Steward got the momentum back for the Decepticons by scoring with 36 seconds left in the second period.  In the third period, the Decepticons outscored the Wolfpack 3 – 1 in the third period.  The Wolfpack outshot the Decepticons 25 – 21 and they had a tough time beating goaltender Steve Durand.   Conrad Stewart finished the night with a hat-trick.   Mathieu Richer had 2 goals and 1 assists in the win.  Adam Rudick had 1 goal and 1 assist in the loss.  Steve Durand made 22 saves in the win and Erik Heft made 14 saves in the loss.

Decepticons 8 – Kings 6:
 
In a close and penalty-filled game, the Decepticons opened the scoring on a short-handed goal by Conrad Stewart.  Mylene Cyr then scored to tie up the game at 1 five minutes later.  Tomas Bailey scored a nice snap shot goal to give them a 2 – 1 lead.  The Decepticons scored 3 unanswered goals in the first & second period.  With the score being 4 – 3 in the second period, Conrad Steward scored on the powerplay to make it 5 -3.   Mathieu Richer scored two quick goals in the 3rdperiod to make it 7 – 3, but the Decepticons got into some penalty trouble and allowed the Kings to get back into this game.  It got the Kings the momentum.  They scored 3 goals straight and one with over a minute to cut the lead down to 1.  Charles Williams sealed the victory with an empty-netter goal with 49 seconds left.   Charles Williams had a hat-trick and Conrad Stewart had 2 goals and 2 assists.  Tomas Bailey scored 2 goals and added 2 assists in the loss for the Kings.  Steve Durand made 44 saves in the win and Rishi Kumar made 23 saves in the loss.

The first game of the evening featured the Tomahawks against the Decepticons.  The game started out with some great chances for the Hawks.  Both teams exchanged some good chances in the first 5 minutes of the game.  The Hawks opened the scoring on a goal by Sal Pistone with a blistering shot from the point that beat Steve Durand five-hole.   The score was 1 – 0 and the shots were 12 – 7 for the Hawks after one period.  During the second period, the Hawks came out strong and peppered the Decepticons netminder.  Thierry Léger-Parizeault scored in the first 2 minutes of the period to make it 2 – 0.  Gabor Dupéré-Richer scored less than 2 minutes later to go up by 3.  The Decepticons, Dianah Johnson cut the lead back to 2 on a nice re-direction goal.  With over 50 seconds left in the period, Sal Pistone scored a nice short-handed goal to make it 4 – 1.  In the third period, the pressure continued for the Hawks as they outscored the Decepticons 2 – 0 and outshot them 18 – 6.  Steve Durand was solid in nets despite the loss as he made 41 saves and David Mucciardi made 18 saves in his first game of the season.  Sal Pistone & Thierry Léger-Parizeault each both had 2 goals and 1 assist in the win.  Conrad Stewart had the lone assist on Dianah Johnson’s goal for the Decepticons.

Bengals 13 – Decepticons 3:
 
The Bengals opened the scoring early in the first period.  Rick Modi scored the first two goals of the game.  He had a monstrous night.  He finished the night with 4 goals and 5 assists.  It was all Bengals in the first period.  They went up 5 – 0.  In the second period, the Bengal’s girls scored 4 out of the 6 goals in the period.  The Decepticons scored two goals in the second period.  Mathieu Richer, Matthieu Pauze & Jean-Francois Auger all scored in the second.  At the end of the second period, the score was 11-3 for the Bengals.  In the third, Ina Garabedian & Errol Allen scored to end the game in a mercy over 9 minutes left.  Steve Durand made 27 saves in the loss and Sagar Modi made 16 saves in the win.  Conrad Stewart had 2 assists in the loss and the Bengals had 3 players with 4 points each.
